John le Carre is the pseudonym used by David John Moore for his highly successful spy novels. He was born on October 19, 1931 in Poole in the UK and died on Decenber 12, 2020 in Truroalso in the UK. Le Carre's career has spanned over fifty years and has stayed immensely popular through several changes in political climate. John le Carre has always managed to keep up with the times and probably stay ahead of the times, in fact. This can be seen from the development of his characters through time. From A Call for the Dead through to A Delicate Truth the storylines have kept pace with how we perceive ourselves and the world. All the while keeping true to the cloak and dagger element which thrills his fans. The Night Manager was adapted for a television series by Susanne Bier and starring Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie, Olivia Colman, David Harewood, Tom Hollander, and Elizabeth Debicki.
