Clive Cussler was an American thriller writer and a marine archaeologist. Cussler was born in Aurora, Illinois, but grew up in Alhambria, California, USA. Clive has co-authored the later Dirk Pitt series with his son, Dirk Cussler, the Numa Files with various authors and the Oregon Files with Craig Dirgo and Jack du Brul. Dark Watch is the third book of the Oregon Files and the first book to be co-written with Jack du Brul.
