Primo Levi was an author of novels. essays, short stories and poems. He was born on July 31, 1919 in Turin, Italy, and died on April 11, 1987 also in Turin, Italy. Primo Michael Levi was an Italian Jew and he spent a year in Auschwitz. The Wrench is his best known work of fiction.
