Larry Niven was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on April 30th, 1938. Niven is a writer of science fiction short stories and novels. His most influential works are Ringworld and Ringworld Engineers in which he suggests a band of material roughly a million miles in diameter orbiting a star. This proved popular with his fans. Dream Park is a mystery set in space.
