Harlan Ellison was born on May 27, 1934. Ellison is a writer of novels, short stories, essays, screenplays, articles, and edited two editions of a science fiction anthology, Dangerous Visions and Again Dangerous Visions. Ellison rose to fame with his collection of short stories I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream a book of stories dark and grim but nonetheless optimistic for the future.
